The Boston Area Youth Harmony Festival
Hosted by Sounds of Concord and Lexington High School
March 2nd, 10am-5pm; Show at 7:30pm

Are you a young singer (age 13-20) who loves singing acappella harmonies? Then this is a full day of music education and fun that you can not miss! Come gain valuable skills from trained vocal clinicians that will improve your vocal ability, breath support, technique, and ensemble sound.

Join together with your fellow singers and experience the excitement of 4-part close harmony in an all male and all female chorus, concluding with an epic 8-part mixed-chorus finale'.

Award winning quartets Downtown Crossing and Foreign Exchange will highlight the evening show, as well as a performance by your reigning 2-time Northeastern District (NED) barbershop chorus champion and international BHS competitor, Sounds of Concord!

The Big Show starts at 7:30m and will be raising money for participating student's High School music programs!

Participation cost is just $10 for the whole day, including 2 meals, and the opportunity perform on stage with some of New England's top acappella talents.

Sounds of Concord Chorus

The Sounds of Concord is  New England’s top performing barbershop acappella choruses. 2011 and 2012 Northeastern District (NED) Champions and 2011/2012 international competitor.

Chartered in the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS), SoC has been entertaining audiences for over 40 years, most recently as one of New England's top-ranked male vocal ensembles, specifically the 2011 Northeastern District (NED) Chorus Champion of the BHS. Our singing is primarily in the barbershop style: four-part close harmony with rich emotional melodies designed to captivate our audiences. Our current repertoire includes gorgeous ballads, toe-tapping swing songs, and vivacious up-tunes geared at energizing our listeners. While we specialize in traditional barbershop tunes, we enjoy all forms of a cappella music—from stage and screen, spirituals, folk tunes, and patriotic songs.
